The TEOS line of orbital shakers/mixers were specifically designed to address current limitations in mixing technology and to meet the varying mixing and agitation requirements of current day high-throughput screening and life science industries. From 96 to 1536 wafer plates to synthesizing blocks weighing 10 kg, the TEOS is capable of handling the broad weight range at varying amplitudes and at speeds up to 10,000 RPM.

The variable amplitude and speed TEOS orbital shakers/mixers are based on a novel design principle (US Patent 5,988,869). A plate holding platform floating on air bearings and air driven high speed turbines with calibrated eccentric weights combine to provide unique capabilities in vortex generation, repeatable "Zero X-Y" return position and high general reliability. The latter is essential for robotic interface and integration with other automated platforms.

	Shaker is turbine-driven by air from a house or compressed source. The portable manual TEOS 100 series shakers require no electrical source and have few moving parts. These features are compatible for use in explosion or fireproof environments and provide superior reliability.
